The Thinking Behind the Builds
Brief, decisions, deliverables and outcome for the kinds of projects I take on — described honestly, without fabricated percentages.
Note on numbers
Why There Are No Percentages Here
Plenty of freelance sites publish precise-sounding results that cannot be checked. I would rather show you the reasoning: what the business needed, which decisions I made and what shipped. If you want verified feedback, my Upwork and Fiverr reviews are public.
Design implementation
Figma to WordPress handoffs
The brief
Designers and agencies needed polished Figma files turned into editable WordPress pages that matched the source file on every breakpoint.
What was delivered
— Faithful implementation reviewed side by side against the Figma frames.
— A documented global style system inside Elementor Pro.
— Reusable templates for repeated page patterns.

— Reusable templates for repeated page patterns.
Key decisions
— Translated the Figma type scale and colour styles into Elementor global styles before building any page.
— Defined tablet and mobile behaviour explicitly rather than relying on automatic stacking.
— Kept every section editable so the end client could change content without breaking layout.

Outcome
Design teams get a build that matches their file, and their clients get a site they can maintain without re-engaging the designer for copy changes.

Home service business websites
The brief
Recurring freelance work for local trades whose existing sites hid the phone number, lacked service pages and were slow on mobile.
What was delivered
— Mobile-first layouts with persistent click-to-call access.
— Service and service-area page structure with breadcrumbs and internal links.
— Image, font and plugin clean-up for faster mobile loading.

— Image, font and plugin clean-up for faster mobile loading.
Key decisions
— Put the phone number and service area above the fold on mobile, where emergency traffic lands.
— Created one page per service instead of a bullet list on the homepage.
— Cut quote forms down to the fields the office actually uses to book a visit.

— Cut quote forms down to the fields the office actually uses to book a visit.
Outcome
Each trade now has a dedicated page for every service it sells, and enquiries arrive with enough information to schedule without a follow-up call.
WordPress studio website
Scratch WP
The brief
Launch a credible website for the studio I founded, able to present a growing service range without turning into a single overloaded homepage.
What was delivered
— A full page map with unique titles, descriptions and headings for each page.
— A component-based Elementor Pro template system.
— A single enquiry flow with clear calls to action on every page.
— A component-based Elementor Pro template system.
— A single enquiry flow with clear calls to action on every page.
Key decisions
— Split every offer onto its own page under a services hub instead of stacking them into sections.
— Built one reusable section library in Elementor Pro so new service pages could be added in an hour.
— Wrote internal links by hand so each service page pointed at genuinely related services.

Outcome
The studio now publishes new service pages without design work, and each page can be optimised independently for the term it targets.
